On a recent job, we passed this Abandoned house perched up on a hill and knew we had to go back for some Astrophotography.
The Galactic Centre was already up before the sun had fully gone down and we had part of the moon behind us, never letting a bit of a challenge stop us.
We opted for a vertical panorama to capture the Galactic Centre above this awesome Abandoned house, we used Nikon’s 14-24mm ultra wide lens as we had an empty dam right behind us with a very large drop.
After many different angles we had no moon at all, light painting was what helped fill in the foreground and light up the house.
In the top right corner of the panorama is a satellite reflecting sunlight off its solar panels, the combination of such old history and modern technology is way too cool to edit out.
The D850 killed it at such a high ISO as did the 14-24mm, which is usually our go to lens on such a wide image.
